The Duchess of Sussex, 41, looked teary-eyed as she watched the moment the Queen’s coffin was placed into a hearse for Her Majesty’s final journey.
Following the emotional service to honour the life of the late monarch, Meghan looked solemn as she stood outside Westminster Abbey alongside Queen Consort Camilla, the Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte, seven.
But moments later, the 41-year-old appeared to catch Princess Charlotte’s gaze and offered her a warm and reassuring smile.
The Princess smiled back, before quickly turning around following the sweet exchange.
And it wasn’t long before royal fans took to TikTok to reveal their excitement over the touching moment shared between aunt and niece.
“Naw that was so cute! Must be great for Charlotte to see her auntie again (though the circumstances are tragic). And Meghan’s smile was adorable,” wrote one.
A second enthused: “Knew she was smiling at her was so cute.”
