Princess Diana said she’d never marry again after her split from Prince Charles, journalist Petronella Wyatt has claimed

Writing for The Celeb Report, Petronella explained how she attended the same small dinner party as Diana in the summer of 1995.

Explaining how Diana “slipped in quietly”, Petronella said the late Royal wore a chic and “simply cut” blue shift dress which offset her “sapphire” eyes.

After enjoying a light dinner of cold asparagus and poached salmon, Petronella recalled how Diana moved their chairs together as she wanted advice on being single following her split from Prince Charles.

“Most decent men are put off by me,” Diana said. “You know, my situation and all the baggage that goes with it.”

The couple’s divorce was finalised in 1996 after 15 years of marriage

When asked if she would ever tie the knot again, Petronella says Diana burst out laughing.

“No way. But I would like to redo some things,” she said, before turning the conversation back to Petronella.

During another meeting at The Ritz, Petronella recalled how Diana spoke proudly of her friendship with her ex-husband after their divorce was finalised.

She continued: “I sat next to Diana and she spoke a great deal of her new-found friendship with Prince Charles. That made her very happy.

“But I always thought, and so did friends of both her and Charles, that she remained a little in love with him.”

And Princess Diana worried if she was good mother to Harry and William & would ‘spoil them rotten’ after months apart.

Plus Princess Diana was no Meghan she had true aristocracy, basic honour, honesty and courage, an expert has claimed.
