Princess Diana would’ve been very proud of Prince Harry, says psychic Sally Morgan

PRINCESS Diana would have been “very proud” of son Prince Harry for raising awareness around mental health, says psychic Sally Morgan.

The 70-year-old, who dubs herself Britain’s Best Loved Psychic, said she counted the late royal as a client in the 90s in her new book Secret Spirit.

Diana struggled with her mental health as a royal

She believes Harry’s work as a mental health advocate would have pleased Diana, who suffered depression and anxiety during her time in the royal family.

Sally writes: “Mental health is not a taboo subject anymore and that’s a very good thing. We have mental health ambassadors now, like Prince Harry, whose mum, Princess Diana, one of my former clients, would have been very proud of.

“The Princess of Wales was ahead of her time when it came to discussing mental health. More than anyone she understood how destructive depression and anxiety are.”

Revealing the contents of their conversations, Sally continues: “She used to tell me how certain people in the royal household would change the subject whenever she tried to talk about how she felt and how difficult she found living in what she believed was the gilded cage of royalty.

“She explained how, as a royal, you were expected to brush those kinds of feelings under the carpet.”

Earlier this year Harry criticised life as a royal, telling US actor and podcast host Dax Shepard that he felt trapped and like he was living in a zoo.

He reiterated those thoughts in wife Meghan Markle’s 90 minute interview with Oprah Winfrey, describing it as a “very trapping environment”.

A docuseries around mental health then followed, with Harry explaining how Meghan encouraged him to seek therapy.

Sally said of his interview: “When I watched Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, I got chills.

“It was like watching history repeat itself. It would be tempting to think that things don’t change, but on the positive side they do, because generally we now accept that mental health is something that needs to be nurtured and taken care of, and by sticking their heads above the royal parapet and talking about it, Harry and Meghan are helping drive the debate forward.”
