THE Queen and Prince Charles will be “horrified” by reports of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s new Netflix plans, a royal expert has said.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly filming an “at home with the Sussexes”-style docuseries for the streaming giant as part of their multi-million pound mega-deal.
US reports claim the couple have welcomed cameras into their £11million Montecito mansion to film candid content, as the Kardashians did for their fly-on-the-wall show.
But it’s unclear whether the Royal Family were briefed on the move, revealed just weeks before the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Royal biographer Angela Levin said a fly-on-the-wall series would be hypocritical after Prince Harry moaned royal life was similar to living in a zoo.
She also believes the series would come as another blow to the royals – and could “steal the enjoyment from the Queen” during her platinum jubilee.

Speaking to the Sun Online, Angela said: “I think the Royal Family will be horrified because if Harry’s memoirs are coming out at a similar time – which seems what Netflix want – then it’s a double attack on the Royal Family.
“I don’t know how they can manage this without taking strong action but I don’t think the Queen wants that.
“At the end of her years she wants the Royal Family around her.”
According to Page Six, the Sussexes have been working with production crews for several months now – despite Meghan’s animated show Pearl being quietly dumped by the platform.
The streaming giant apparently plans to release the series at the end of the year to coincide with the publication of Harry’s bombshell memoir.
But sources suggest the Sussexes have asked for the alleged docuseries to hit the small screen next year instead.
The news comes exactly a fortnight before the Queen and working royals stand on the balcony at Buckingham Palace for the Platinum Jubilee.
And Angela Levin fears the possibility of fly-on-the-wall cameras at the occasion could spoil things for the Queen.
Of Meghan and Harry, she said: “You cant trust them, its very difficult to know what they’re going to do.
“Harry has now left the Royal Family and I think he is determined to destroy it.
“If the Netflix staff manage to get to the UK, there’s all sorts of ways of hiding cameras. I feel they could really steal the enjoyment from the Queen.”
It’s not yet clear if Netflix has been given the green light to film three-year-old Archie and 11-month-old Lilibet.
However, just days ago, the couple said they are worried the youngsters will become “digital experiments” in a “world of hatred and harm” during an interview about online safety.
It suggests they may not allow their children to be filmed.

But one insider described the plans for the docuseries as Netflix “getting its pound of flesh” from the Sussexes.
The couple have yet to release any real content, despite signing their $100m deal back in September 2020.
