Queen’s Favourite Pony Pays Final Tribute at Ascot

Beloved Horses of the Late Queen

When the Queen passed away, she left behind her beloved horses, with some even participating in her funeral procession. The late Queen owned over 100 horses, including her favourite pony Emma, which were inherited by King Charles after her death.

Emma's Final Tribute

Emma, the late Queen’s favourite pony, reduced fans to tears as she paid tribute during the monarch’s funeral. Now, one of Emma’s horseshoes will be donated to Ascot to create a new trophy, to be presented to the ‘best shod horse’ at the Royal track for their Champions Day meeting.

The Queen's Love of Horses

Queen Elizabeth II was happiest at the racecourse, with horse racing being one of her favorite hobbies during her 70-year reign. She had many stars run in her famous purple and gold silks, including Royal Ascot winners like Estimate and Classic heroine Dunfermline.
