Royal fans amazed as drones of the Queen, her handbag & a corgi light up Buckingham Palace in jaw-dropping display

FANS of the Royal family have gone crazy over the light show and display of a corgi, the Queen and her handbag at the Platinum Jubilee concert.

More than several thousand people attended the spectacular event today to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee – and it’s safe to say, the show did not disappoint.

With dozens of artists and musical talent, people gathered outside the Buckingham Palace and celebrated the occassion.

And although Her Majesty didn’t attend the gig, there was a surprise towards the end of the concert – a light show displaying the Queen, her handbag and, of course, a corgi.

Those who watched the show, both in person and from their living rooms, very soon ran to social media – with one even claiming the lights were better than the music.

”Whoever programmed, organised the drones at the Queen’s 70th jubilee and whoever came up with the idea need a raise [sic],” read one tweet.

”Was spot on…music weren’t bad either,” the user InvertedOvert thought.

There were plenty of Royal fans who shared the same opinion, with Soph (@sophcharlotte4) describing the drones as ”INSANE” and adding a cute corgi emoji at the end of her tweet.

Jason Carlyon, another viewer of the grand ceremony, also seemed to be particularly fond of the jaw-dropping light show.

”What a fantastic celebration for the platinum jubilee [sic].

”Amazing light show and drone display,” he wrote, before adding: ”God save the queen [sic]” alongside the hashtag #thanyou, as well as a Royal corgi emoji wearing a crown.

The Twitter user, TheBear (@TribalGoat), described the drones, lighting and the graphics as ”absolutely phenomenal”.

”A monumental effort from all involved! What a show!”

Jack Rosen, one of the many viewers tuning in, even went as far as saying that the drone corgi above the Buckingham Palace made his year.

Thousands of Brits gathered outside Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Platinum Party at The Palace tonight.

While members of the royal family, including the Cambridges, Charles and Camilla and Princess Anne, were in the audience, Her Majesty was not attending the gig.

Queen Elizabeth has been experiencing mobility problems in recent months and the palace had warned in advance that the monarch would consider which jubilee events she felt able to attend.

She pulled out of Friday’s jubilee thanksgiving service after experiencing “discomfort” during Thursday’s festivities.

And granddaughter Zara Tindall said earlier that Her Majesty is enjoying the celebrations at home in her “comfy clothes” after she missed today’s Epsom Derby.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are staying home for Party at the Palace after celebrating daughter Lilibet’s first birthday privately.

The couple are keeping a low profile this weekend after the Queen reportedly said there were to be “no dramas” during the Jubilee.

Harry and Meghan have so far only made one public appearance during the weekend.

They arrived for yesterday’s service of thanksgiving hand-in-hand.

Meg and Harry also didn’t stand beside Her Majesty on the palace balcony as the four-day bonanza got under way on Thursday.

However, both watched Trooping the Colour from a window at the Major General’s Office.

Famous performers included the likes of Sir Elton John, Rod Stewart, Craig David, Diana Ross, George Ezra and Alicia Keys.

It is the second to last of the major Jubilee events, with the Platinum Jubilee Pageant on Sunday, June 5.

The Queen’s diamond jubilee celebrations in 2012 saw big names like Madness, Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue perform in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.
