The Duchess of York insists she would never go in the jungle
Sarah Ferguson, also known as Fergie, has revealed that she has been asked to appear on the popular reality show I'm A Celebrity every year but has always turned it down. The Duchess of York, 64, made the revelation during her appearance as a guest host on This Morning. She also claimed that she has been approached to participate in other shows like Dancing On Ice and Strictly, but has declined those offers as well. Fergie's refusal to discuss her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, reportedly led to talks collapsing for her appearance on I'm A Celebrity this year.
Gyles Brandreth reveals he was also asked to appear on the show
During her interview, Fergie's friend Gyles Brandreth revealed that he had also been asked to appear on I'm A Celebrity. He mentioned that both of them had been offered 'big money' for their participation. However, it seems that the prospect of being put on the spot with millions watching at home was just too much for Fergie.
Loyal to Andrew amid scandal
Fergie, who is the mother of Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, has remained loyal to Prince Andrew amidst the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. She still lives with him despite divorcing in 1996. The Duke has faced allegations of sexual misconduct, including claims that he slept with a 17-year-old Virginia Giuffre. Fergie's loyalty to Andrew may have played a role in her decision to not discuss him on I'm A Celebrity.
Guest editing and hosting This Morning
In addition to her appearance as a guest host, Sarah Ferguson is also guest editing This Morning today. This gives her the opportunity to have a say in the content and topics discussed on the show. It's clear that Fergie is making her mark in the media industry, even if she's not willing to venture into the jungle.
