Seven of Prince Harry’s most explosive claims and savage attacks on royals from his book revealed as Spare goes on sale

PRINCE Harry’s memoir has shocked the world, with the Duke of Sussex launching savage attacks on the royal family.

Spare has sparked fury over his claims that William physically attacked him, while his admission he killed 25 Taliban members during the Afghanistan war generated protests in Helmand province over the weekend.

And Harry, 38, is said to have “crossed Charles’s red line” after attacking the monarch’s wife while promoting the book.

Meanwhile, the Royal Family has been hailed for not responding to Harry’s brickbats.

Here we take a look at the seven most explosive claims Harry made in the bombshell book which has hit UK shelves today…

1. Harry’s drug use

Prince Harry confesses to snorting cocaine several times – pictured here leaving Mahiki Nightclub in London in 2008

Harry sensationally confessed to snorting cocaine several times in one particularly shocking segment of the book.

He also admits smoking cannabis at Eton and experimenting with magic mushrooms.

Opening up about taking drugs, Harry writes: “Of course I had been doing cocaine around this time.

“At someone’s country house during a hunting weekend, I’d been offered a line, and I’d done a few more since.

“It wasn’t much fun, and it didn’t make me particularly happy, as it seemed to make everyone around me.

“But it did make me feel different, and that was the main goal. Feel. Different.

“I was a deeply unhappy 17-year-old willing to try almost anything that would alter the status quo. That was what I told myself anyway.”

2. Harry’s older woman

Harry told how he lost his virginity to a horse-loving older woman — in a field behind a pub.

He said she “treated me not unlike a young stallion”, but branded his first bonk an “inglorious episode”.

In a cringeworthy account of the al fresco romp he says: “Quick ride, after which she smacked my rump and sent me off to graze.”

The comments have sent Brit’s imaginations running – with royal fans dying to know who the woman is.

3. Meghan and Kate’s ‘fight’

Harry says Kate and Meghan had a bust-up in the run up to the royal wedding

Harry claimed Princess Kate and Meghan Markle had a furious bust-up after the Duchess of Sussex made a comment about her sister-in-law’s hormones.

The duke revealed that in the run up to the royal wedding in 2018, Meghan told the Princess of Wales that she must have “baby brain”.

Kate had given birth to Prince Louis just a month before.

During all three of her pregnancies, Kate suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum – excessive nausea and vomiting caused by a hormone imbalance.

Harry tells how Kate was upset – but that Meghan apologised and said that is how she speaks to her friends.

But Harry says William “pointed a finger at Meg”, then allegedly said: “Well, it’s rude, Meghan. These things are not done here.”

To which Meghan responded: “If you don’t mind, keep your finger out of my face.”

4. Harry’s kill count

Harry in Afghanistan in 2013

Harry revealed he killed 25 people during his time in Afghanistan.

The Duke says he is neither proud nor ashamed of “taking human lives” as it was simply his job as a solider.

Harry‘s military career lasted 10 years and included two deployments to Afghanistan – in 2007 and 2008, and again in 2012 to 2013.

While working as an Apache helicopter pilot during the second, he flew on six missions that resulted in Taliban deaths.

The prince says that he did not think of the 25 as “people” but rather “chess pieces” that had to be taken off the board.

He also saw the insurgents he killed as “baddies eliminated before they could kill goodies”, he writes.

Soldiers do not usually know how many enemies they have wiped out, but Harry alleges he watched footage of each of his kills when he got back to base.

5. Fight with William

Harry claims his brother “knocked him to the floor” during an argument about Meghan.

The duke says The Prince of Wales branded Meghan “rude” and “difficult” during a row

Harry alleges William “grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and … knocked me to the floor”.

Harry claims he was left with a visible injury to his back following the argument in 2019 at Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace, where he was living at the time.

Harry says William was already “piping hot” when he arrived wanting to talk about their deteriorating relationship.

According to Harry, it turned into a shouting match as William complained about his wife Meghan, calling her “rude” and “abrasive”.

6. Accusations against Camilla

Harry shockingly accused Camilla of leaking stories to the press and claims she launched a campaign to marry Charles to get the crown.

In an explosive section of the book the duke tells of the King and Queen Consort’s relationship – and how he and William begged their father not to marry her.

Harry says he and William promised Charles they would welcome Camilla into the family – but the only thing they asked in exchange is that he didn’t marry her.

Harry claimed they approved of Camilla but begged Charles not to get married for a second time following the death of their mother Diana.

Charles did not respond, he alleges.

7. Queen quizzed Meghan

Harry said the Queen asked Meghan about Donald Trump

Harry claims Meghan was quizzed by the Queen about her opinion of Donald Trump the first time the two women met.

Harry writes: “It was all very pleasant. Granny even asked Meg what she thought of Donald Trump.

“Meg thought politics a no-win game, so she changed the subject to Canada.”

Harry said his grandmother “squinted” and said to Meghan: “I thought you were American”.

Meghan replied: “I am, but I’ve been living in Canada for seven years for work.”

Harry then writes: “Granny looked pleased. Commonwealth. Good, fine.”
