LADY Louise Windsor is to follow in the footsteps of her cousin, Prince William, by attending St Andrews University in Scotland.

The 18-year-old daughter of the Earl and Countess of Wessex will read English at the prestigious university, and will begin her four-year course this September.

The news came after A-level results were released around the country.

And while Lady Louise’s results weren’t revealed, the standard entry requirement for St Andrews is the grades AAA.

“Having received her A-level results today, Lady Louise will start at St Andrews University in September to study English,” a spokesperson said.

It was at St Andrews that Prince William met the then Kate Middleton, as they both studied History of Art.

While William later switched courses to study Geography, his bond with Kate was already solidified.

The couple went on to marry in April 2011 and have three children together.

Lady Louise attended Windsor’s St George’s School, before moving to St Mary’s School Ascot in 2017.

According to reports, she chosen English, History, Politics and Drama as her A-level subjects.

Lady Louise’s decision to attend university means that her parents can expect major upheaval in their family home – Bagshot Park – come September.

She currently lives at the Grade-II listed building with her parents and her 14-year-old brother James, Viscount Severn.

Speaking previously about the property – reported to be worth around £30 million – Sophie said that its proximity to Queen Elizabeth II was one of its major perks.
