The Crown’s Elizabeth Debicki is the spitting image of Princess Diana as she films iconic Wills and Harry scenes

ELIZABETH Debicki is a double of Princess Diana as she continues filming new season of Netflix’s The Crown.

The 30-year-old actress takes over from Emma Corrin as the Princess in the fifth instalment that further explores the breakdown of her marriage to Prince Charles.

Debicki was spotted filming with her co-star Dominic West as Prince Charles at Dunsfold Aerodrome

The pair were recreating a time when the royals were arriving for a private flight to Italy with their sons Princes William and Harry.

The Aussie actress proved she was perfect for the role on set of the record breaking drama as she looked a spitting image of Diana.

Debicki could be seen with shorter blonde hair like Diana’s and a blue knee length floral dress.

The actors were filmed getting out of a brown Jaguar before boarding the Royal Airforce plane.

At one point Debicki was seen leaning into to kiss West before they ascended the plane stairs.

West was wearing a tweed jacket and the boys in bomber jackets and jeans.

The new series of the Netflix hit starts in 1990 and sees the pair’s relationship fall apart before the princess’s tragic death.

A TV insider said: “The images show Diana as she became increasingly self-aware and comfortable with her own image.

“As she enters the Nineties, she has shorter, sexier hair and her distinctive black eyeliner as well as clothes which showed off her svelte physique.

“But the prominence of her blue sapphire engagement ring is a reminder that, despite her growing independence, she’s still tied to the Royal Family.

“As her star is rising, Prince Charles’s youthful looks are seen fading, with a fuller frame, greying hair and a stuffy wardrobe.

The Crown offered Netflix fans their first glimpse of Princess Diana, William and Harry on the set of season five late month.

Debicki previously starred in The Night Manage alongside Tom Hiddleston and she played opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in the 2013 film, The Great Gatsby.

The Celeb Report exclusively revealed Cutting It actor James Murray has landed the currently somewhat unenviable role of Prince Andrew.

James, married to fellow actor Sarah Parish, replaces lesser known Tom Byrne who played Randy Andy in series four.

James is currently filming the Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks-produced Apple TV series, Masters Of Air.

In the new series, James’ on-screen wife, Sarah Ferguson, will be played by upcoming actress Emma Laird Craig.

Jonathan Pryce will be playing Prince Philip and Imelda Staunton will play the Queen, with first look pictures of her in the role released last month.

Meanwhile Lesley Manville takes over from Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret and Jonny Lee Miller will play Prime Minister John Major.
