Fit for Royalty

Being in the royal family comes with its perks, including living in grand palaces and mansions. When Princess Beatrice was just nine years old, the late Queen gifted her a swanky £1.5 million pad, but she never got to use it.

The Grade II-listed Birch Hall in Surrey boasted seven bedrooms, five acres of land, an outdoor heated swimming pool, and a tennis court. Despite its grandeur, Princess Beatrice and her sister Princess Eugenie never lived there.

The rejection of Birch Hall in 1999 led to it being sold, with the proceeds placed in a trust for the royal sisters to use in the future. The property's value has since soared, with a 2016 listing price of £4.2 million.

Renovations over the years have enhanced the mansion, adding an orangery, games room, and a home gym, making it one of north Surrey's finest village houses.

Seas the Day

Today, Princess Beatrice, now 36, resides in a four-bed apartment at St James's Palace with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and their children. They also own a farmhouse in the Cotswolds, complete with plans for a party barn and a guest house.

Princess Eugenie, 34, lives with her family in a luxury golf and ocean club in Portugal, splitting their time between there and Kensington Palace in the UK. The resort, dubbed the "Hamptons of Western Europe," offers upscale amenities like an 18-hole golf course and a spa.

Among the notable visitors to the club are Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who stayed there and visited Princess Eugenie after the Invictus Games.
