The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration line-up: Who is performing for the show on ITV?

THE Queen is getting ready to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee in style.

One of the big celebrations is an all-star event that will take place at Windsor Castle.



Queen Elizabeth II is celebrating her Platinum Jubilee in style

Who is in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration line-up?

Phillip Schofield and Julie Etchingham will host The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration which will be broadcast live on ITV.

The theatrical arena event will include 1300 performers and 500 horses, and is made up of four acts, each overseen by a different an event host.

The Celebration will take viewers through history, from the reign of Queen Elizabeth I through to the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, culminating in a grand finale.

Each act will reflect on key moments in history including Elizabeth I’s Tilbury Speech, and James I and the Gunpowder Plot. 

Dame Helen Mirren



Dame Helen Mirren will kick off the celebrations

Dame Helen Mirren will take on the role of Queen Elizabeth I, whilst a cast of the Queen’s Players will be introduced by a character called The Herald, played by Omid Djalili.

The Herald will whisk viewers through time – linking the acts together, narrating and anchoring the stories, and making light of some of the absurdities history presents us with.

Dame Helen is usually known for playing Queen Elizabeth II.

She won an Oscar for her title role in the 2006 movie The Queen.

The actress then played Her Majesty again in the West End and on Broadway, in a show called The Audience.

Gregory Porter



Gregory Porter is performing for the Queen

Award winning singer Gregory Porter will take to the stage, where he will sing a medley of his most famous songs.

Gregory won the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2014 for Liquid Spirit and in 2017 for Take Me to the Alley.

Liquid Spirit was unusually successful for a jazz album, and was certified gold by the BPI – selling over 100,000 units in the UK.

He has been described as “a jazz singer of thrilling presence, a booming baritone with a gift for earthy refinement and soaring uplift.

Katherine Jenkins



Opera singer Katherine Jenkins is performing at the big event

Welsh opera star Katherine Jenkins will also perform for the Queen.

The singing-sensation shot to fame in 2000 when Universal Classics heard her demo, and she was signed to a six-album deal worth £1million – the most in UK classical history.

Since then, Katherine has seen six out of seven of her studio albums reached No1 in the UK classical charts, selling a total of more than four million copies.

She has also become the nation’s sweetheart, and regularly performs for army troops and also big sporting events.

Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber



Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber will bring the show tunes with him

West End musical master Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber will also being paying tribute to the Queen.

It is not known yet what his performance will involve, but it will no doubt include some of his biggest shows.

Lord Webber has had huge success in the West End and on Broadway with shows like Cats, Evita, and Jesus Christ Superstar.

Ant & Dec



Ant and Dec will be entertaining the nation

The nation’s favourite twosome will also take to the stage to commemorate the Queen’s 70 years on the throne.

Ant and Dec have had an incredible career, which has seen them climb to the top and become ITV’s highest paid earners.

The Geordie duo shot to fame on kids show Byker Grove in the early 90s, and have never looked back.

Tom Cruise



Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise is taking part in the Jubilee event

Tom Cruise is one of star guests set to grace the stage for this special occasion.

He is one of the four star event hosts who will be introducing the performers.

The Hollywood actor shot to fame in the 80s in films like Top Gun and Cocktail.

These days Tom is best known for the Mission Impossible franchise.

Who else is taking part in the Queen’s Jubilee performance?

As well as the Dame Helen, there are plenty of other celebrities taking part in the Platinum Jubilee celebrations who will be keeping the nation entertained.

Those also taking part in this special tribute to the Queen’s 70 years on the throne are:

As well as Tom Cruise, there are also three other event hosts.

When does the performance start on ITV?

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee will be broadcast live from the private grounds of Windsor Castle.

It will kick off this Sunday (May 15, 2022) at 8pm, and will run until 10.40pm.
