BAAEED, the world’s best racehorse, lived up to the hype and got the party started at Ascot with an easy win in the Queen Anne.
The top-class four-year-old stretched his unbeaten record to eight with a comfortable victory under top jockey Jim Crowley.
He wasn’t exactly a working man’s price at 1-6, but if you took the short odds you never had a moment’s doubt.
He cruised through the race and Crowley was still motionless while all of his rivals were flat to the boards.
Once he asked Baaeed to put the race to bed, he did it in a matter of strides.
The front-running Real World (15-2) boxed on bravely to finish a length and a quarter back in second, with a big break back to Order Of Australia (18-1) in third.
