Dames Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and Penelope Keith, along with Daniel Craig and Ncuti Gatwa joined the cast.

They each read a line from the 1823 poem while sitting by a roaring fire or royal Christmas tree.

The full clip will be posted on social media by Clarence House today.

It is in support of the Actors’ Benevolent Fund, which launched an emergency grant to support acting talent and stage managers struggling due to Covid-19 restrictions.

The Prince has also been struggling with the restrictions and was earlier this month reunited with the Queen, Kate Middleton and Prince William for the first time in nine months.

Camilla also recorded a line for the charity video that will be released on Christmas Eve

They were also joined by Edward, Sophie and Princess Anne.

The royal family remained socially distanced during the event.

It was the first time the royals have been able to gather for an official event together since lockdown.
