‘Upset’ Kate Middleton may not release photo for Prince George’s 8th birthday due to trolls mocking him, expert claims

KATE Middleton is considering not releasing an official portrait of Prince George to mark his birthday this year, a royal expert has claimed.

Biographer Angela Levin suggested the Cambridges’ could break tradition because of previous online attacks from trolls about the young prince.

The youngster received cruel comments online after he made an appearance at Wembley with his parents for the Euro 2020 final on Sunday.

Speaking on True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat, she said: “There are rumours that we might not see the photograph [of Prince George] when he’s eight, because they’ve been so upset by the rudeness of people mocking a little boy aged seven, and I hope they can overcome that.”

On July 22, Kate and William’s eldest son George turns eight years old.

Kate and William usually share a picture of their kids to mark special occasions including their birthdays and Christmas.

Previous portraits of the royal kids have been taken by Kate – who is a keen amateur photographer.

Also appearing on The Royal Beat was Sunday Times Royal Correspondent Roya Nikkhah who disagreed with Ms Levin.

“I reckon they will put one out,” she said.

Ms Nikkhah went on to praise the family for easing Prince George into a life of public service by bringing him along to watch the European Championships last Sunday.

‘This is an official duty for Prince George at the age of seven,’ Ms Nikkhah said.

“It’s lovely and happy and there’s a lot of emotion.

“Getting him used to big crowds and knowing that he is being watched by millions of people – it’s quite a clever way of doing it.”

From the football match, footage emerged on Wednesday of a sweet moment at the end of the game where Kate put a “protective” arm around her seven-year-old son as they prepared to leave Wembley Stadium.

Prince William, 39, can also be seen putting his arm around his wife, 39, in a rare moment of public affection as they enjoyed a sweet moment as a family.

Fans took to Instagram to call the moment “beautiful”, with one saying: “It really shows how normal and down to earth they’re and how much they’re protective of George.”

Another added: “This family is everything”, while a third wrote: “Such lovely and sweet parents.”

Earlier in the game, Prince George won the hearts of the public after he was caught on camera celebrating England’s goal.

The wholesome scene brought happiness to Twitter where social media users shared their thoughts on the rather mature behaviour of the overjoyed little prince.
