WWE star Charlotte Flair ‘gets written from show’ to take break and get married to AEW partner Andrade El Idolo

CHARLOTTE FLAIR is set to be off WWE television screens for some time as she prepares to marry All Elite Wrestling’s Andrade El Idolo.

The Queen was in action at last night’s WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view as she defended her SmackDown Women’s Title against Ronda Rousey.

But it was the UFC legend that emerged triumphant in their “I Quit” after Rowdy locked in an armbar on Flair inside a chair, forcing her to tap.

It was then announced afterwards that the 36-year-old had suffered a “fracture of the radius” during her loss.

However, it has now emerged that the injury is “very much a storyline angle” in order to write Flair off television storylines.

The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez stated she is taking time off as she is getting married soon, and that she had requested time off before WrestleMania Backlash.

Flair also recently revealed herself that she is due to marry the Mexican this summer during an interview with BT Sport.

She said: “We have a [wedding] date. It’s this summer in Mexico, I have my dress.

“I think Manny (Andrade) would be a little angry if I walked down the aisle with my title.

“He was like, ‘Mami, for the wedding, I do not want your hair to look like Charlotte.’ I was like, ‘what does that mean?’ Just less makeup, he likes the fresh face.”

Flair began dating her then fellow WWE star Andrade back in 2019.

Despite the relationship never being acknowledged on-screen, the couple regularly posted snaps of themselves together on social media.

They then announced their engagement in January 2020 after the Mexican got down on one knee to pop the question on New Year’s Eve.

Andrade requested his WWE release in 2021 and quickly joined rival promotion All Elite Wrestling.

Despite that, love is still blossoming between the pair as they regularly post photos of their vacations together.
