The Voice UK viewers got a surprise when a 00s child star auditioned
Alicia Hooper is now a music teacher who took to the stage – but didn’t get any of the coaches to turn in their chairs
Alicia spoke about how she had been singing from a young age as her father had been a professional singer, and she was now a music teacher.
But as she continued to talk, she revealed she had starred in a hit children’s TV show when she was younger.
In fact, Alicia played Amber Hearst in BBC series Tracy Beaker alongside Dani Harmer.
Amber was the show’s resident bad girl and Alicia played the role in series two.

The Voice viewers were stunned to see her, with one writing: “AMBER FROM TRACY BEAKER????? #TheVoice #TheVoiceUK”
Another added: “OMG it’s Amber from Tracy Beaker #TheVoiceUK

A third tweeted: “Omg that’s Amber from Tracy Beaker ahhhh!!!!”
Unfortunately for Alicia, she failed to get any of the coaches to turn around in their chairs, meaning she had to walk away empty handed.
Earlier this year, Alicia shared a series of throwback snaps of her and Tracy actress Dani on set of the CBBC show.
One of the snaps included Amber with The Cheeky Girls, and Dani commented: “The Cheeky Girls
! Why do I have zero idea what they’re doing there
xxx.”
Alicia replied: “It was the children in need episode and guess they were a big deal at the time
.”
