A PLACE in the Sun will welcome a brand new presenter to its line-up in January 2022 – and fans might just recognise him.
Fans of the Channel 4 show will be used to seeing the likes of Laura Hamilton, Jasmine Harman and Danni Menzies taking the helm to show – but now there’s a new face in town.
In a major shake-up, TV presenter Craig Rowe will be appearing in the sun from next year in a bid to help people find their perfect home abroad.
Craig is no stranger to TV presenting, having appeared on channels including QVC and CBBC, as well as programmes like ITV’s This Morning as the ‘gadget guru’.
Upon landing the gig, Craig said he has a big passion for property – and has been involved in buying, renovating and selling properties in the UK and abroad.
Speaking about joining the show, Craig gushed: “I’m so delighted to become part of the A Place in the Sun presenter team.
“Having loved travel since my teens and then nurturing a passion for property since buying my first flat in London 20 years ago – it’s my dream job.
“As a real people person, I’m loving finding dream homes for my house hunters and get such a buzz the moment it all comes together and they can start their new lives in the sun.”
His first appearance on the programme will see him travel to the coastal town of Denia in Spain in order to help newlyweds Alison and Gabriel find their perfect home.
Craig also has experience working behind the camera, working in production for the BBC for seven years and helping the network to train new recruits.
In his 30s, Craig took the journey of a lifetime to travel to Australia, Thailand, the USA and his ‘fatherland’ country of Jamaica.
Fans can also expect to see a host of familiar faces in the line-up, as all the usual presenters will be back.
All new episodes of A Place in the Sun will air throughout January 2022 at 3pm on Channel 4.
