Manigeh and Ian were looking for a place to live in Spain
The couple hoped to find their dream home in the Spanish seaside resort and had a budget of £90,000.
But seasoned viewers of A Place in the Sun were quick to take to Twitter to moan about the fact the show had been to Torrevieja on a number of occasions before.
One wrote: “Surprise surprise it’s Torrevieja.”
Another added: “Got the salt lakes bingo in early today. Waiting on Leo Sayer in Villa Martin now.”
A third tweeted: “Afternoon Placers lovely Jean today but dear God its Torrevieja and salt lakes AGAIN….I don’t know if I can even be bothered.”
Meanwhile a fellow viewer wrote: “I swear we’ve seen every single property in the whole of Torrevieja by this point.”
Jean showed the couple five properties, and they liked two of them; a three bed townhouse and a two bedroom townhouse, both with access to communal pools.
The couple decided to make an offer on one of them, property two, offering £74,000.
It was rejected, with the owners coming back with a counter offer of £81,897.
The couple went back with £80,000 in cash but they were countered again with £81,000, which they accepted.
However Jean revealed in a voiceover that just a few days later, the owner decided to withdraw from the sale and take the property off the market.
A Place in the Sun airs weekdays at 3pm on Channel 4.
