A Place in the Sun’s Ben Hillman open-mouthed as buyer snipes ‘let’s go home’ and walks out of property tour

A PLACE in the Sun’s Ben Hillman was left shellshocked after a guest on the show sniped “let’s go home” before walking out.

The popular presenter was taken aback during Thursday’s programme after one house hunter suddenly stopped the property viewing halfway through.

Ben was on a mission to find Steph and Ian – who had a budget of £280,000 – their dream holiday home in Portugal.

During their second viewing, Steph left Ben speechless after she abruptly halted the property search.

Steph wanted a home that was modern and open plan, while Ian wanted their home to be near a golf course.

Priced at £286,000, the property also came with a huge roof terrace – and the duo seemed to love it as soon as they stepped foot inside.

Things quickly developed after Ben revealed the roof terrace to the couple, which certainly went down a treat.

“Wow. Oh my, I wasn’t expecting this,” said Steph, as they stepped onto the roof terrace.

As Steph gave a clap of approval, Ben joked: “That has concluded the search.”

“This is absolutely stunning,” Steph continued as Ian added: “Let’s put the offer in.”

As Ben put his head down and laughed, Steph appeared to halt the search, declaring: “Let’s go home.”

In the end, it was smiles all round after the couple placed an offer of £272,000, which was accepted by the current owners.
