A Place in the Sun's Jasmine Harman surprised by couple's unexpected tribute

Jasmine Harman, the host of Channel 4's A Place in the Sun, has revealed a surprising tribute made by one of the show's couples. The 48-year-old TV star returns to screens today with a new spin-off of the beloved property show, titled A Place in the Sun: What Happened Next. In the series, Harman revisits some of the most memorable house hunters to find out if their move abroad was worth it.

A heartwarming surprise

During her visits, Harman was left stunned when she discovered that one couple had dedicated a room in their new home to her. Speaking exclusively to The Celeb Report, she explained, "One of the couples that I went back to see had made enormous changes to their property. I almost didn't recognise it. When I went inside, I was like 'this is completely different'. They even had created like a guest bedroom. They called it the Jasmine Suite. I was like 'oh that's so lovely'."

A new chapter for Harman

Harman herself made the move abroad last year, relocating her family to Spain. The decision has brought her a better quality of life and shorter commutes to work. She shared, "I see my children now, and we can – after school - go to the beach and have a scoot along the paseo or have an ice cream or whatever. Plus, we've got the lifestyle that we've been wanting. For me, it's been great because I've been able to go to work and then come back in the evening, which has never happened over the last 20 years. It's been lovely to be able to not have to go away for a week. And at the end of the day, sleeping in your own bed which is always nice."

A Place in the Sun: What Happened Next premieres today at 3pm on Channel 4.
