REPRISING the role of bad boy Donte Charles, Adam Thomas shared a snap alongside his real-life niece and on-screen daughter.
The actor documented his first day back on the set of Waterloo Road.
The iconic BBC One show is getting a reboot and many familiar names have agreed to return.
Earlier this year, Adam announced he would be part of the new series after his character went on to marry his childhood sweetheart Chlo Grainger, portrayed by Katie Griffiths (who will also be back).

The 13-year-old will play the part of Adam’s on-screen daughter, Izzy.
On-screen couple Donte and Chlo left Waterloo Road with her during the fourth series of the programme, back in 2009.
Adam took to Instagram on Tuesday (March 1, 2022) and shared a sweet selfie from his first day back on set.
The actor can be seen enjoying a ray of sunshine outside, smiling widely while his niece rests her head on his shoulder.
The caption reads: “My very first day back Waterloo Road… Not only was it my first day but it was my first scene with my lil niece.”
Adam went on to share his proud feelings about Scarlett’s acting chops.
“Am just in awe of this girl, could watch her all day every day!”, he penned, adding: “can not wait for you guys to see her in action ! What a special day. Waterloo Road is back.”
The budding actress responded to the post, writing: “What an amazing day.”
Meanwhile, Adam’s older brother Ryan penned also reacted with an enthusiastic: “hahah brilliant”, before sharing the post to his own Instagram story.
Waterloo Road fans are undoubtedly excited to welcome Adam back to their screens.
After leaving the first series of the show, he took on the role of Adam Barton in ITV’s Emmerdale.
His character left in January, 2018, and is currently still on the run after admitting his involvement in Emma Barton’s death in an attempt to save Moira (the actual killer) from prison.
Following his exit from the soap, Adam also embarked on his own restaurant venture.
He opened his first restaurant, The Spinn, in Manchester in 2019.
The Waterloo Road revival can be expected on screens later this year.
