ADIL Ray flirted with Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain today – leaving her forced to clarify they’re not in a relationship.
Cheeky Adil, 47, pretended to be annoyed with his co-star, 50, after she said she had celebrated the easing of lockdown yesterday over dinner with a friend.
But Susanna, 50, walked into the trap when she asked the actor whether he had found anybody to hug after refusing to embrace him on-air in an awkward moment yesterday.
Adil admitted: “No, I didn’t get a hug, and I hear one of us was out gallivanting around central London last night.”
Susanna confirmed the rumours were true and she’d had a great time, adding: “It was a very weird experience. But I did use your (Dr Hilary’s) hugging technique.”
Adil interrupted and yelped: “You hugged?” but winked at the camera.
He jokingly grilled her, asking: “So who did you go out with last night? You never told me you were hugging other people?”
Susanna laughed it off but made it clear she had no reason to explain her whereabouts to Adil.
She said: “You’re making it sound like we’re in some sort of relationship!
“Like I have to divulge who I am hugging!”
The government has issued guidance on making hugs safer including keeping them short, don’t hug face-to-face and keep the numbers of hugs to a minimum.
Yesterday, Adil recounted being rejected by Susanna for a hug the first time they met at the National Television Awards – and she refused to hug him on air again.
Susanna is said to be back together with her on/off boyfriend Steve Parish.
Last month the TV star and Crystal Palace chairman Steve, 55, wrapped up for a cosy dinner at exclusive restaurant Trinity in South West London.
The pair first split in April 2019 after eight months together, but The Celeb Report revealed Steve and Susanna were an item again last August.
