Aggie Bailey makes expensive mistake with ex-pal Yvette in Coronation Street

WEATHERFIELD nurse Aggie Bailey was mortified when her old neighbour Yvette rocked up the cobbles.

She gets herself into deep financial trouble by trying to impress her next week in Coronation Street.

The character portrayed by Lorna Laidlaw bumped into Patrick and Yvette as she was trying to enjoy a meal with her husband Ed.

Aggie was shocked and later quietly fuming when Yvette decided to join the pair at their table and in later scenes, her other half explained why.

Ed turned to their daughter Dee-Dee and revealed that Aggie didn’t want Yvette over for dinner out of fear she could pass judgement on their home in Weatherfield.

Tim Metcalfe then decided to help Aggie out but in scenes airing next week on ITV, the nurse will have nobody to turn to as she tries to impress Yvette.

It all begins when she attends Yvette’s charity auction with Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) and Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor).

Under pressure from the newcomer, Aggie bids £3k for a summerhouse, a whopping amount she can’t afford to lose.

Aggie expects her offer to be outbid but she’s horrified when Yvette brings down the hammer, declaring the summerhouse sold.

What will Aggie do?

How will Ed react if he hears the news?

Will Aggie have to come clean to Yvette about the real state of their finances?

The couple have experienced money woes in the past, particularly when the mother of their granddaughter Grace Vickers began to blackmail them.

Ed was also hurt when he suffered a severe electric shock while doing work in Debbie Webster’s hotel which resulted in the businesswoman paying them off.
