ALASKAN Bush People star Bear Brown revealed why his dad Billy’s shocking death aired on TV.
The 34-year-old admitted he “broke down” during the emotional episode.
While speaking to HollywoodLife, Bear opened up about why his family chose to include Billy’s final moments and funeral arrangements on the Discovery show.
He said: “Dad loved the show and he loved the people so much!
“We think that the fans and everyone that loves the show deserves to see everything and to see his funeral and all.
“We discussed whether or not to include it and we felt like we should include it for sure because we believe that is what Dad would want.”
Bear continued: “I am doing alright. You think that you understand loss.
“I am just trying to keep one foot in front of the other.”
Reflecting on his father’s passing, Bear said: “That was the hardest episode I have ever filmed.
“I broke down several times during the filming of this.
“My dad meant so much to me.
“I should have seen it coming because he had failing health for a while.
“It just seemed really sudden and out of the blue.”
BEAR’S INSPIRATION
Bear then said his father inspires him to be a better dad to his one-year-old son River with Raiven Adams.
The Alaskan Bush People star said: “I have a boy of my own and so I want to instill in him what my father taught me and just be the best father I can.”
He then shared the one lesson Billy taught him that he wants to pass down to his son, explaining: “Treat everyone how you want to be treated and to live free and be free.
“Mom and dad always taught us to have respect for everything and every living thing.
“I want to try and pass on the freedom that my parents instilled in me.
“My father was always smiling in the face of danger.”
In addition to Bear, Billy also shared kids Matthew, 38, Joshua “Bam Bam” Brown, 37, Gabe, 31, Noah, 28, Snowbird, 26, and Rain, 18 with wife Ami, 58.
TRAGIC PASSING
The Brown family patriarch tragically died in February at the age of 68.
He suffered a fatal seizure inside the family’s Washington home.
Footage from the incident features members of the family shouting: “Wake up dad!”
Family members and crew working on Alaskan Bush People were on the scene when the seizure occurred.
As The Celeb Report previously reported, CPR was performed unsuccessfully.
Throughout the emotional episode, family members gushed about Billy as they discussed their loss.
