AMANDA Holden has revealed the real reason she thinks the Masked Singer’s Panda is Ashley Roberts.
The 50-year-old thinks her Heart Radio co-host could be the star behind the mask after one major clue.
Amanda reckoned her bff Ashley Roberts was Panda because of her American accent.
During Wednesday’s Heart Breakfast show, Jamie Theakston asked: “Still a lot of questions, is Ashley Roberts Panda for instance? That’s all over Twitter.”
Amanda said: “I think it is! Davina McCall thinks it’s me,” Amanda said, adding it couldn’t possibly be because the mystery Panda celeb is “an American”.
Jamie didn’t let up, and said: “It’s one of you two. Who is it? Is it you or is it Amanda?”
Ashley said she was “more of an adopted Brit these days” rather than an American.
When Jamie quizzed her further: “Are you, or are you not Panda?” then Ashley joked: “I would never say.”
Meanwhile The Masked Singer fans were convinced the lovable Panda was 80s singing legend Cyndi Lauper.
On Saturday night the character belted out One Direction hit Story Of My Life with gusto and impressed the audience enough to progress to next week’s show.
Sadly for Keane singer Tom Chaplin his journey came to an end when he was unveiled as Poodle.
Some viewers were sure of Panda’s identity based on the tone of her voice, insisting it must be the iconic New Yorker.
While others think a past clue that alluded to fancy footwear was a nod to the Broadway and West End musical Kinky Boots, which Cyndi wrote the lyrics and music for.
One fans posted on Twitter: “Panda is Cyndi Lauper – 100% Sounds like her, clues match.”
Another shared: “#panda is Cyndi Lauper #MaskedSingerUK fancy footwear… kinky boots!”
A third said: “Sounds like Cyndi Lauper.”
