Amanda Holden, a judge on Britain's Got Talent, experienced her "worst nightmare" after missing her flight to Italy to visit comedian Alan Carr, all because she picked up the wrong passport.
Passport Mix-up
Holden had been scheduled to film the second series of her BBC show, Amanda and Alan's Italian Job, in Italy. However, upon arriving at London City Airport, she discovered that she had mistakenly taken her husband's passport instead of her own.
Last-Minute Rescue
Despite the mishap, Holden was determined to get to Italy. With the help of a woman named Georgie Hicks, who went above and beyond to assist her, Holden was able to retrieve her passport, but not in time to catch her original flight. She eventually made her way to Gatwick Airport and arrived in Italy later that afternoon.
Embarrassing Reminder
Holden admitted that her husband had warned her to double-check her passport before leaving the house, but she brushed off his reminder. She called her husband to inform him of the mistake and humorously mentioned how he had jokingly asked if he could still lecture her like one of their children.
Successful TV Show
Holden and Alan Carr's show, Amanda and Alan's Italian Job, was a huge hit with viewers. The reality series followed the duo as they renovated a vacation home in Sicily, offering plenty of laughs and mishaps along the way.
