Amanda Owen’s Our Yorkshire Farm gets major rebrand with new title as bosses sign global deal

AMANDA Owen goes global and Our Yorkshire Farm will undergo major changes.

Channel 5 has been drawing in millions of fans in the UK but the programme will soon be watched by viewers internationally.

Amanda and Clive Owen have been two of Channel 5’s most successful faces

The show follows writer Amanda, 47, and her family and has been a staple of the British box since it first aired, in 2018.

However, the shepherdess and her close ones are set to become worldwide stars as audiences from 25 territories around the globe will be able to tune in to Our Yorkshire Farm.

Indie distributor Cineflix Rights bought the show and will be making it available on CBC in Canada, Discovery Networks in New Zealand and Nine Network in Australia.

For now, only the first two seasons out of four will be available but there’s no doubt international viewers will be asking for more.

But while fans of the documentary series are surely excited, they may also be confused as the show will get a full rebrand.

This includes a full change of title meaning that it will no longer be known as Our Yorkshire Farm.

For it global release, the series has been renamed My Big Family Farm, a light nod at Amanda and husband Clive’s family of nine.

Speaking to Television Business International, the head of acquisitions for Cineflix Rights Richard Life said: “we are absolutely thrilled to be building on Channel 5’s success in the UK with the series and growing My Big Family Farm into a global hit.”

“The show is a quintessentially lovely mix of engaging family characters, beautiful landscapes, and nature battling the elements which is proving irresistible to buyers from a varied range of countries all looking for escapist content.”

This would Amanda and Clive‘s first taste of international fame, eleven years after their debut appearance in ITV’s The Dales, when they only had five children.

Four years later, in 2015, they were seen in New Lives in the Wild UK, which kick-started their career and inspired them to come out with their own programme.

Following their big break, Amanda and Clive have welcomed four more children (they’re open to the idea of a tenth one) and heaps of success due to Our Yorkshire Farm.

The programme follows the loving family working altogether to keep their farm going in the span of one farming season.

But aside from her thriving career on the small screen, Amanda has also made a name for herself as a writer.

Five of her books have hit the shelves, including Tales From the Farm and The Yorkshire Shepherdess.
