Amelia Devastated by Father's Prison Sentence
Amelia Spencer, portrayed by Daisy Campbell, is left heartbroken after receiving news about her father Dan in the popular soap opera Emmerdale. Dan, played by Liam Fox, was sentenced to eight years in prison for manslaughter back in August. The teenager has been relying on support from other villagers in Emmerdale as she raises her baby Esther without her father's presence.
A Birthday Card Brings Upset
In upcoming scenes, Amelia receives a birthday card from her father, which leaves her feeling upset. The contents of the card remain unknown, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats.
Lydia Dingle's Struggles Continue
Amelia isn't the only character facing difficult times in Emmerdale. Lydia Dingle, who recently opened up about being raped by her childhood sweetheart Craig Reed, continues to struggle with the aftermath. Her husband Sam is at a loss on how to best support her as Lydia remains a shell of her former self.
Disappointment for Lydia
Lydia's disappointment grows when a police officer arrives to update her on Craig's arrest. Despite her hopes for justice, the officer informs Lydia and Sam that Craig has been released pending further investigation.
Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
