American Pickers’ Mike Wolfe convinces guest to give up Abraham Lincoln statue that late husband did NOT want to sell

AMERICAN Pickers star Mike Wolfe convinced a guest to give up an Abraham Lincoln statue that her late husband did NOT want to sell.

The 57-year-old gave a convincing sales pitch during Monday’s episode of the History Channel show.

The sale happened during Monday’s episode of American Pickers

At the end of the latest episode of American Pickers, a statue of Abraham Lincoln caught Mike’s eye.

The item belonged to a woman named Berta, who recruited the American Pickers team to buy items that were collected by her late husband.

Berta revealed that she and her husband found the statue at a farmhouse in Pennsylvania, explaining: “We just stopped and knocked on the door and the guy took us out to his barn.”

While Mike called the “gorgeous” statue a “piece of art,” Berta said that her late husband Bill “would never sell that.”

Mike attempted to find the value of the statue, though had a hard time coming up with a number when he was unable to identify the artist.

He asked Berta and her daughter what they would want for the statue, though she admitted she’d “have to trust” Mike because she didn’t know.

Mike explained: “It’s a piece of art and if it’s a known artist, then obviously it’s gonna command more money.

“Without seeing the back of it and being able to read it and being legible, it’s difficult to navigate that part of it.”

A DEAL IS MADE

Mike initially asked if he could buy the statue for $500, thought Berta negotiated by asking for $700.

After taking a moment to think, Mike agreed: “I’m doing it. I love it.”

Mike called the statue “brilliant” before adding that Bill “had an amazing eye.”

Following the final sale, Berta said: “I think Mike and Jersey are gonna find a good home for it. So I feel good about what we did today.”

The latest American Pickers episode aired just weeks after Mike revealed in July that longtime star Frank Frtiz has been fired from the show.

FRANK’S FIRING

Frank, 55, last appeared on the show during a March 2020 episode, as he took time off to recover from back surgery, which left him with 185 stitches and two rods in his spine.

During his time off the show, Frank lost 65 pounds and has been living a healthier lifestyle and is sober from alcohol.

He told The Celeb Report that he entered rehab for alcohol addiction in Iowa for 77 days.

Additionally, Frank previously told The Celeb Report he is now hoping for his own spinoff show.

FUEDING COSTARS

The 55-year-old’s firing comes amid his feud with Mike.

Speaking to The Celeb Report about their falling out, Frank said: “I haven’t talked to Mike in two years. He knew my back was messed up, but he didn’t call me up and ask how I was doing. That’s just how it is.

“The show is tilted towards him 1,000 percent. I can’t even bend that far down to show you how much.

“That’s fine. It’s like you’ve got Aerosmith and there’s Steven Tyler and he’s the front man. I found my spot, I’m second and he’s number one on the show. That’s no problem with me, maybe he does have a problem.”
