Amir Khan reveals he’s returning to I’m A Celebrity 2022 for All Star series alongside Paul Burrell and Gillian McKeith

AMIR Khan has revealed he is headed back into the I’m A Celebrity jungle.

The British boxing icon has hung up his gloves aged 35 after a magnificent career as an amateur and pro.

Amir Khan will be returning to I’m A Celeb All Stars

Amir was a huge hit on the show back in 2018

Now he is returning to the All Stars version of the ITV reality show which is set to take place in South Africa next year.

He was originally on the show in 2018, and the hardman will be remembered for being terrified by creepy crawlies and secretly scoffed strawberries behind the backs of his campmates.

“I’ve been asked to do a very, very big show,” he teased. “I can’t give the name to you. But I’ll give you a clue; I’ve been on it before!

“I think it’ll be brilliant. I think people get to see another side of me and it would be nice to do something like that. Now that I’ve got time I can do it. Before I couldn’t.

“The only reason I did it last time was because I had a hand injury. I said I’m out of boxing anyway because I can’t train with my hand so I’ll go in the jungle. Otherwise I would probably not have done that.

“I enjoyed it. It’s one of the best things I ever did. Going in the jungle, being away from everyone, being focused, focusing on you and what you want to do in life.

“I didn’t have other voices telling me what to do. I was thinking for myself. I loved it, honestly.

“The team I had around me was amazing, everyone was great and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had – apart from seeing spiders and snakes and s***”.

Paul Burrell and Gillian McKeith are among the stars who are already set to go back into the jungle.

The Celeb Report revealed that the All Stars series is expected to air in 2023 and this time the celebs will have a say in who does the trials thanks to in-camp voting.

Those likely to be asked back include Jungle Kings and Queens including Gino D’Acampo, Shaun Ryder and Vicky Pattison.

It will be filmed in Kruger National Park where, ironically, the Aussie version of the show is shot.

Producers will still shoot a normal series – featuring brand new stars – in Murwillumbah, New South Wales later this year.
