Viewers Suspicious of Amit Sharma
Viewers of Emmerdale have become increasingly suspicious of Amit Sharma, the newcomer to the show. It was recently revealed that Amit was present when his brother Rishi died, leading to speculation about his involvement.

Next week, Amit Sharma makes a huge decision as his secret is on the verge of being uncovered. The Emmerdale character is struggling to fit in and is keeping a massive secret from everyone in the Dales.
Plot Thickens
Amit Sharma, played by former EastEnders actor Anil Goutam, arrived in the ITV Dales earlier this year. His character, Suni and Jai's father, was revealed to be Amit Sharma. This revelation came at a time when Jai Sharma had just discovered he was adopted and that Amit was his biological father.
Things took a dark turn when Rishi died in what appeared to be an accidental fall down the stairs. Amit then revealed that he was present when his brother died, adding to the suspicion surrounding him.
Hostility and Accusations
Amit's hostility towards his son Suni's boyfriend, Nicky Milligan, further fueled the tension. When Nicky confronted Amit about being with Rishi when he died, Amit reacted violently, punching him. This altercation also led to accusations of homophobia against Amit.
Amit's Departure
Feeling isolated and unable to connect with his family, Amit decides to return to India. This shocking decision leaves his son Suni shocked and desperate to convince Laurel, Jai's wife, to change her mind about Amit leaving.

Meanwhile, Laurel tries to find out from Nicky why Amit punched him. Unbeknownst to both of them, Amit is listening in, worried that his secret could be exposed.
Trouble in Relationships
Suni books a night out with Nicky, Gabby Thomas, and Ethan Anderson. However, Suni's trust in Nicky is shattered, leading him to end their relationship. But Suni soon regrets his decision.
Suni also tries to distance himself from his father, and their relationship starts to crumble.
What Lies Ahead
Will Amit be able to mend his relationships with his family before leaving? Can Suni and Nicky reconcile, or will their night out at the bar go wrong? Will Amit have to confess to his presence on the day Rishi died, or can he get away with it?
