Amy Barlow is struggling to keep quiet about her rape
She puts herself in danger next week
Will Aaron face comeuppance?
Amy Barlow was raped during a drunken evening spent with Aaron Sandford, played by James Craven.
After staying quiet about her ordeal, she opened up to her mother Tracy who encouraged her to report the crime to the police.
Unfortunately, Amy didn’t receive the help she was hoping for and the lad was allowed to roam free in the cobbles despite his actions.
This has convinced Amy to move past the rape, branding it a simple “mistake” when speaking to her parents about what Aaron had done to her.
Coming up next week on ITV, however, Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) realises she has messed up the booking for her girlfriend Nina’s surprise party which prompts Aaron to offer them the keys to the builder’s yard flat.
Aadi (Adam Hussain) invites Aaron to the gathering with Amy’s permission and with the party in full swing later on, she watches her attacker with loathing as he flirts with a group of girls.
Things go from bad to worse when Aaron puts a hand on her shoulder and it triggers her terrible memories.
In tears, Amy admits to both Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) and Aadi that she was hoping to block out her memories due to the fact Aaron raped her when she was drunk.
Sadly, the memories still flood back in.
The guests eventually leave the party and, while alone with Aaron, Aadi decides to stand up to him, revealing he knows everything.
Later on, Amy’s rape is shown to have an impact on her studies as she receives a letter from her university advising her she is behind on her work.
She rips up the letter and turns to a bottle of vodka on the sideboard.
Summer passes Victoria Garden and is horrified to see Amy collapsed on the ground, which leads to her calling an ambulance.
On the Street, Aaron squares up to Aadi and the pair of teens begin to have a scrap.
They’re interrupted by an ambulance and Summer explains to the paramedic on the scene that she found Amy unconscious.
Amy is taken to A&E and the doctor confirms that she passed out from excess alcohol.
Summer faces Amy’s parents Steve and Tracy when she reveals that Amy insisted Aaron did rape her, despite what she may have said to keep the peace in the past.
Aadi rails at Aaron, pointing out that Amy tried to drink herself to death because of him.
Amy tells her parents that Aaron did rape her and she asks for help.
In later scenes, however, Aaron may have a plan as he appears by her bedside.
How will she react?
What will Aaron do?
