AMY Duggar said she’s “not afraid to speak her mind” on her famous family.
The 34-year-old’s comments come after she called her cousin Josh Duggar’s porn arrest “evil.”
After Amy shared a photo of herself posing with flowers on Instagram, a number of her followers took to the comments section to praise the storeowner.
One person in particular got Amy’s attention, as the follower asked: “How come you didn’t stay away from it when you’re were on the show 19 Kids and Counting? How come you didn’t stay away from it when you had your own spin off show from 19 Kids?”
The Duggars have experienced a number of scandals due to Josh’s actions, including him being accused of touching underage women years before he was arrested on child porn charges.
Additionally, the fan noted that both she and her mother are victims of sexual abuse.
Amy responded to the fan by writing: “I am so sorry for what has happened to you and your family.
“And I can’t imagine the pain and hard work it takes to face such hurt and pain, but I commend you for getting help. That’s ok! That shows how strong you really are!”
She continued: “I said this years ago but I’ll say it again.
“If I would have known why I know now nobody would have ever known who cousin Amy was.
“But God knew all of this. And God knew I wouldn’t be afraid to speak my mind and I just hope somewhere my page helps someone, encourages someone.”
The mother of one concluded: “That’s all I want. Not fame, not a tour bus, not my name in lights. I don’t need all of that to be happy.
“I hope you find true happiness too.
“You are not your past, you are a beautiful survivor with a story to help so many people.”
Amy recently opened up about the charges against her cousin and how she feels about him and the rest of her Duggar family during an interview with TODAY.
The mother, who shares 1-year-old Daxton with her husband Dillon King, said she’s “worried” about Josh’s six kids.
Amy added: “My heart goes out to all those innocent, sweet victims… It breaks my heart.
“I will just say that whatever you do in the darkness comes out in the light. If you’re going to look at such disgusting and sickening images, justice has to be served.”
The 19 Kids and Counting On alum added she regrets ever having been part of the family’s TLC show after both Josh’s arrest and learning in 2015 of allegations he molested four of his sisters, as well as a babysitter.
Looking back, she said: ”I wish I would have known about what was happening. I did not know anything about the whole Josh situation the first time.
“We were told that he went to camp… I definitely didn’t know.”
After his April 29 arrest, Josh, 33, was granted bail after “possessing 65 images of child porn.”
Despite his release, the TLC star has restricted travel and cannot leave Benton, Washington, and Madison counties in Arkansas without permission from the court.
His wife Anna is currently six months pregnant with their seventh child, and he has been required to live away from the family as he is not allowed to be around minors.
Amy, who’s known as the rebellious Duggar, hasn’t been shy about speaking out against her famous family in the past.
She has gone against the conservative values enforced by patriarch Jim Bob Duggar and matriarch Michelle Duggar, which led to her estrangement from the family.
