TROUBLED teen Amy Mitchell knows more than she lets on about Denise Fox.
But the pressure gets overwhelming for her next week in EastEnders as she turns to secret boozing to cope.
Amy Mitchell has been struggling with her mental health in recent months
Things go from bad to worse next week
She knows something about Denise Fox
The teen girl portrayed by Ellie Dadd previously struggled with her mental health and was at the centre of a harrowing self-harm storyline.
While she received help during a rough patch, Amy could be relapsing after finding out a huge secret about her stepmother Denise Fox (Diane Parish).
Coming up on BBC One, Amy pulls a sickie, finding it hard to cope with the recent revelations.
Amy literally bottles up how she feels as she begins to secretly drink while Denise stays home from work to look after her.
Tipsy Amy acts out to the hairdresser, leading Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) to see right through her and suggest she’s been drinking.
Denise discovers evidence that Amy has been drowning her sorrows and a furious row ensues.
Amy drops her bombshell and tells Denise she knows a massive secret about her.
Matters go from bad to worse later on in the week after a chat with Denise leads to Amy running into Denzel Danes and Nugget Gulati.
Emotions continue to boil over and, struggling to contain her panic, Amy tries to reach out to a consumed Chelsea.
But the latter lashes out at the teen for not coming clean earlier to her.
Amy is overwhelmed, unable to keep herself in check as she trashes her bedroom and smashes the mirror.
Denise has been displaying behaviours of a very sneaky nature in recent scenes of the London-based drama.
She was almost caught having an affair with Walford gangster Ravi Gulati and she brutally rejected him once and for all.
However, this gave Ravi enough leverage to toy around with Denise when he found out that her husband Jack Branning was investigating him.
When Denise refused to give him the information he wanted, Ravi turned his sights to her daughter, Chelsea, and used her as a pawn to get closer to both Denise and Jack’s investigation.
EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
