THE Chase star Anne Hegerty was replaced on Beat The Chasers – and now who is taking over has been revealed.
Issa ‘The Supernerd’ Schultz will take over from The Governess – who was forced out of filming after catching Covid.
He is a Chaser on the Australian version of The Chase, but has never before starred on the UK series.
Despite being a newbie, 38-year-old Issa will be tough competition for the players as an eight-time winner of the Australian Quizzing Championships.
He’s also competed on The Rich List and the Down Under version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
Fan favourite Anne – who starred on I’m A Celebrity – last week revealed she had been replaced in the forthcoming series of Beat The Chasers.

The 63-year-old quizzer tweeted: “Unfortunately I’ve contracted Covid-19 so won’t be filming this series of #BeatTheChasers.”
Anne added: “The fantastic @Issa25 will be stepping in for me and I’m looking forward to watching the series when it’s on air later this year.
“I feel fine, but I’m still positive! (in all respects).”
She reassured fans who said they didn’t want to watch if Anne wasn’t on the show, tweeting: “You should absolutely watch it, it will feature six SUPERB Chasers.”
Speaking about her replacement, she said: “Issa is an actual Chaser and has already recorded BTC in Australia, so he knows what he’s doing.”
Issa, a bow-tie wearing quizzer, is known to both Anne and Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett as they also appear on the Aussie edition of The Chase.
He’s lived in Australia since he was a child, but Issa was born in the St Austell, Cornwall, moving to Queensland with his family in the 1980s.
Meanwhile Mark has posted pictures of himself filming new episodes of Beat The Chasers after revealing he’s been dropped from the US version.
He posted a picture of him and Shaun ‘Dark Destroyer’ Wallace on the set of the show in their regular clothes.
The star wrote: “Be afraid, be very afraid :)” tagging in his 61-year-old co-star.
