Anneka Rice made a mistake presenting an award at the NTaS
The Challenge Anneka host duly accepted, but came unstuck as she read the winner of the Quiz Game Show award.
In a moment to rival the La La Land Oscars blunder back in 2017, Anneka announced the wrong show.
She called out “The 1% Club!” before quickly realising she was reading out the nominees again.
Correcting her error, she announced Beat The Chasers was the real winner.
Viewers found the innocent mistake funny with one writing on Twitter: “Anneka Rice might be able to knock up a scout hut in a day but she can’t read an award.”
Another said: “Anneka Rice you had one job!!”
A third posted: “When Anneka Rice manages to f*ck up the award! #NTAs.”
It wasn’t the only awkward on-stage moment of the night.
After Michael Owen and daughter Gemma said the names of each of the four Serial Drama Performance nominees, there was a pause where they didn’t say anything.
Michael was then heard telling his daughter under his breath to open it, leaving viewers in stitches.
