ANTIQUES Roadshow viewers were in shock tonight at the eye-watering value of an ornament known as ‘Ugly Toad’.
The yellow three-legged toad was presented to antiques expert Lee Young on tonight’s (August 20) episode of the BBC One hit.

The ornament dates from the 18th century
The piece of pottery has been in the owner’s family for six decades.
The owner said: “He has been known as ugly toad to me for about 60 years. My mother collected unusual items.
After explaining how his mother got him from an elderly lady who was decluttering, the owner said he was then gifted it for his birthday.
“I love him but not so much so my wife,” he laughed as his spouse stood beside him looking non-plussed by the item.
Lee then revealed that the toad is a piece of 18th century Scottish pottery by Dunmore, describing it as a “monchrome glaze masterpiece.”
Lee then revealed the pottery was based on a mythical three legged Chinese toad, which predicts good fortune or wealth.
He added: “I think he is such a wonderful thing and for all the things we have just discussed about him, I think he would easily carry an auction estimate of £600-£900, and if two people got excited about him, maybe a little bit more.”
The stunned owner exclaimed: “Wow, I am delighted about that!”
Viewers were even more shocked at home.
“Each to their own,” one wrote while posting a snap of Ugly Toad.
“My initial reaction to seeing the frog is ‘what the heck is that?'” said a second.
“Smash it up and use it for drainage in your plant pots,” added a third.
“Take the frog and f*** off,” chipped in a fourth.
