What to Expect
Apple TV has officially announced the return of the Emmy award-winning travel show featuring Charley Boorman and Ewan McGregor. The streaming giant has greenlit a second series of the hit show, with 10 new episodes on the way.
New Adventures Ahead
The brand new series, yet to be titled, will see the dynamic duo embark on a journey closer to home this time. Fans will witness Ewan, 53, and Charley, 57, ride refurbished motorcycles from the UK, traveling across the North Sea to Scandinavia, up to the Arctic Circle, and through Continental Europe.
Exciting Words From the Stars
Expressing their enthusiasm for the upcoming series, Ewan McGregor shared, "On a rather tricky, sandy bit of ‘Long Way Up,’ Charley and I started to daydream about another trip to keep our minds off the scary road at hand!" Charley Boorman added, "This is that trip. Rusty old bikes and 10,000 miles of Scandinavia, and Eastern and Central Europe. A big loop from my house in Scotland to Charley’s house in England. Long way home … magic."
Reviving a Classic
McGregor and Boorman brought back the two-decade-old series in 2020, now exclusively on Apple TV, after its initial run on the BBC and Sky in the mid-noughties.
