Apprentice winner engaged to co-star after stunning rooftop proposal

APPRENTICE winner Harpreet Kaur is engaged to co-star Akshay Thakrar.

Harpreet won Alan Sugar’s life-changing £250,000 investment for her dessert parlour business, Oh So Yum.

Meanwhile Akshay was fired earlier in the process.

But despite not having luck in the boardroom, Apprentice star Akshay has been lucky in love.

The pair got engaged during a very romantic rooftop proposal which saw Akshay get down on one knee on a bed of roses.

He looked dapper in a suit and Harpreet, 30, looked stunning in a long brown gown with her brunette locks to one side.

The pair got engaged on a beautiful evening with London as their backdrop, and sparklers went off as the question was popped.

Taking to social media to reveal their very exciting news, the pair penned: “I would find you in any lifetime.

“Our journey began in the most unexpected way. Now it’s time to begin our forever chapter.

“She said yes.”

Fellow Apprentice stars rushed to the comments, with Kathryn Burn writing: “LET’S START PLANNING THE WEDDING OF THE CENTURY.”

Rochelle Anthony, 2023 runner-up, commented: “CONGRATS” and fellow 2022 finalist Brittany Carter penned: ‘I AM LITERALLY IN TEARS. I am so happy for you both this is just the best thing to ever happen. CONGRATULATIONS.”

It comes after Harpreet took to social media to share the tragic news with her fans that her beloved dad had died, back in March.

She said: “Love you forever dad. Thank you for your kind messages. My father sadly passed away yesterday. If I don’t get back to you at this difficult time, just know that your kind words are appreciated and mean a lot.”

And in another post she told fans: “We all love you forever dad 1963-2023. Rest peacefully now x.”
