ASHLEY Cain has been left heartbroken following the death of his beloved nan.
The former Ex On The Beach star took to his Instagram account to pay tribute to his “strong” grandmother, saying that she will be “happy” to reunite with his daughter Azaylia.
Azaylia tragically died in April at just eight months old after a battle with a rare form of leukaemia.
Sharing a photo of his nan with his daughter, the 30 year old wrote: “While I was away I got the devastating news that my Grandma had sadly passed away and joined the angels in paradise.
“Grandma Cain you created a great, strong, successful and respectful family from nothing but hard work, tough love and good blood.
“You will be missed forever by us all. Please now look after my little angel in heaven as I know she will be excited to see you again!”
Ashley was inundated with support from his followers, with one writing: “Rest in peace Grandma Cain
She will definitely be looking after Azaylia bro.
We have 2 angels in orange sky now
”
Another penned: “Sorry for your loss
I hope you can take some comfort in knowing your grandma will take care of Azaylia for you
”
A third said: “Sorry for your loss, 2 beautiful angels smiling down on your great accomplishments for Azaylia foundation
”
Azaylia Diamond Cain died in April aged just eight months after fighting acute myeloid leukaemia for most of her life.
She spent her final weeks at home with her dad and mum Safiyyaa Vorajee, filling her life with as much love and joy as they could.
Azaylia’s story attracted global attention with even Hollywood superstar Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson getting in touch with the family.
She was nominated for a Pride Of Britain Award, and landmarks around the world, including Blackpool Tower and Niagara Falls, were lit orange in her honour.
Ashley and Safiyya had raised more than £1.5million to fund a trip to Singapore for a life-saving transplant for Azaylia and encouraged more than 100,000 people to join the stem cell register.
Their daughter was too ill to have the treatment, and they have since set up the Azaylia Foundation to support families that are fundraising for treatments that may not be readily available on the NHS.
