Bargain Hunt fans livid as show pulled from air AGAIN in BBC schedule shake-up

BARGAIN Hunt are livid as the show is pulled off air in ANOTHER BBC schedule shake-up kicking in this week.

The BBC show, which has had 60 successful series since it premiered in 2000, usually graces our screens every Monday to Friday from 12.15pm.

Bargain Hunt viewers are fuming that the show has been pulled for a second week

However the TV schedule has been thrown into chaos because of the Winter Olympics coverage for a second week.

The show’s official Twitter account tweeted: “#BBCBargainHunt’ers! Announcement! Due to the winter Olympics, new episodes will not air on @BBCOne this week but rest assured we will have repeats on @BBCTwo & you can always catch up and have your fix @BBCiPlayer.”

Viewers have taken to social media to question why the sporting event was given priority over the popular antiques show.

One wrote: “I’m cross about this! BBC4 sits idle all day while BBC1 & BBC2 is totally disrupted – makes no sense to me!”

Another posted: “Bargain Hunt is the best show on telly – why cancel it for the winter Olympics?”

A third said: “@BBCBargainHunt and @BBCiPlayer This is typical BBC and why it gets so much bad press.”

“Who the f*** cancelled bargain hunt, I will have their head,” another fumed.

The Winter Olympic Games, which are currently being held in Beijing, started on Friday 4 February, and will end on February 20.

The antiques show has been a popular afternoon choice with viewers over the past two decades.

Bargain Hunt viewers were stunned when the most valuable item EVER was revealed as a tiny teapot.

Expert Charles Hanson secured a whopping £390,000 fee for the 18th Century find, originating from China, in what he described as “the most important item I’ve ever sold”.

The Hansons auctioneer founder was speaking to presenter Natasha Raskin Sharp about the item, whose story aired on TV last year.

She said: “Of course, valuable items aren’t found every day but our next story might just restore your faith that hidden gems are out there.

“I’m joined now by auctioneer Charles Hanson who has brought something rather special for us to peruse.

“Charles, at first glance, a wee teapot, but what exactly is it?”
