Both anchors brought viewers the latest headlines they were waking up to from across the country.

However, the show suffered its latest blunder as Naga, 48, and Charlie, 60, introduced the weather.

The BBC’s Matt Taylor was standing by to present the bulletin as Carol Kirkwood was noticeably absent.

But during a conversation with the hosts, a BBC Breakfast crew member accidentally walked into the shot.

The man was spotted by viewers as he brought Charlie and Naga a fresh cuppa on a metal tray.

Eagle-eyed Beeb viewers were fascinated by the on-air blunder with fans delighted they finally learned how the presenters’ brew is delivered to them.

Taking to social media, one said: “I hope he stirred them well! And we’ll done Matt for keeping it together.”

A second wrote: “Hurry up those those teas Dave…”

“#BBCBreakfast So that’s how tea is served on set,” said a third viewer.

A fourth commented: “Where are the Sausages and Bacon?”

While a fifth said: “Enjoy your brew, Charlie.”

BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One and iPlayer.
