BBC Breakfast chaos as Carol Kirkwood dragged to the ground by dog as co-stars gasp ‘are you alright?!’

BBC Breakfast descended into utter chaos this morning when Carol Kirkwood found herself unexpectedly on the floor.

The resident weather star, 61, was dragged to the ground in shock early morning scenes on the show after completing her forecast.

She quickly fell out of shot

Carol was live on location at Wimbledon to bring viewers a look at the weather for the week ahead when the incident occured.

Donning a bright blue coat, she was up bright and early as she chatted with Jon Kay and Sally Nugent in the newly-revamped studio.

Carol was not alone as she was joined by a special furry friend for her report.

A dog on-site at Wimbledon named Ray sat with Carol as she gushed over him lovingly.

It was clear to see that Carol was absolutely taken by the pooch as she stroked and caressed him through her presentation.

She was even admittedly left distracted by tending to the dog as she tried to focus on what she had to do.

However, it was as she came to the end of her segment that the chaos really struck.

Handing back to Jon and Sally, Carol was left flabbergasted when Ray appeared to spot something in the distance.

The dog initially stood up as it looked into the camera but it then quickly bolted pulling poor Carol over and onto the floor as she held onto the lead.

Jon and Sally gasped in the studio as Carol disappeared from view.

Jon exclaimed: “Oh no,” before Sally similarly said: “Oh, Carol!”

As the camera turned to find Carol, Sally asked: “Is she ok?”

Clearly rattled, Carol could be seen falling over once again as she attempted to stand up.

The TV star then remained sat on the floor as she giggled away the embarrassment as she insisted she was okay.

She then squealed: “I cannot believe that has happened again,” referencing a similar incident on the programme two years earlier.

In an almost carbon copy, Carol was holding a guide dog as part of her outside-broadcast from a garden dedicated to the animals in Chelsea, West London.

But after one particularly strong yank on the lead, she went flying forwards, with just her feet shown on the video link-up picture.

Dan was heard roaring with laughter as her white trainers were shown with her flat-out on the deck, saying: “We’ve got a Kirkwood down.

“We’ve got a Kirkwood down. Someone save Carol.”

Then, when she got back into the picture the 44-year-old star asked: “Are you OK? I think she might have lost a shoe.”

Carol, who has struggled back onto the screen, replied: “Yes. She’s a very strong girl, Flash.”
