Another went for her mic as she spoke

Carol was seen sitting on the floor with a number of adorable pups around her, but as she spoke to the camera one started chewing her hair while another focused in on her microphone.

Later, viewers were reminded of the hilarious moment a few years ago when a guide dog called Flash pulled Carol off camera live on air.

Back at the centre on today’s BBC Breakfast, it was revealed that the puppies Carol was spending time with were the offspring of Flash.

One of the centre’s workers then handed Carol one of the pups, and revealed it had been named after her following the iconic moment with Flash.

Carol continued to interview the lady about the pups before saying: “You’re enjoying chewing my finger aren’t you Carol?” before handing her back over.

BBC Breakfast viewers were in hysterics at the chaotic segments, with one sharing screenshots of Carol’s expressive reactions to the pooches and writing: “@carolkirkwood is clearly having the best morning.”

Another added: “Carol – brilliant as ever this morning. A great way to start the day.”

A third tweeted: “The puppy on Carole’s microphone” alongside a crying with laughter emoji.

Meanwhile a fourth praised Carol’s professionalism, writing: “What a professional presenter!

“Carol was not distracted nor interrupted with these overactive puppies attacking her hair, biting her hand, and just being attention seeking puppies.

“Carol remained the radiant, confident, and professional presenter we all love and admire.”

Another wrote: “A true pro @carolkirkwood presenting the weather whilst being chewed by that pup.”
