BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty ‘missing’ again amid presenter shake-up

BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty was absent from the action as the news show kicked off this weekend.

The much-loved BBC anchor, 48, has been off-screen for the past few days and Saturday was no different.

Naga, who regularly hosts with Charlie Stayt, 60, was again replaced by Rachel Burden, 48, for the second day running.

Meanwhile on Thursday, Charlie was joined by Nina Warhurst, 42.

During Saturday’s show the BBC Breakfast hosts focussed on the ongoing nurses strikes in England – which could last until Christmas.

Rachel, who looked stylish in a dark green spotted dress with a wide neckline, interviewed the Royal College of Nursing’s Pat Cullen about Health Secretary Steve Barclay’s legal challenge to the industrial action.

She had styled her blonde hair into a bouncy blow dry and added a pop of colour with pink lipstick.

Charlie meanwhile looked smart in a blue suit and crisp white shirt.

Rachel joined Radio 5 Live in 2003.

She took over the weekday breakfast show from Shelagh Fogarty in May 2011.

Prior to her disappearance, which has not been explained, Naga was called out as she told off a reporter live on air.

She also lashed out at a co-star following a swipe about her age.

BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
