Others felt Naga held the Health Secretary to account and didn’t let her get off lightly

The journalist wasted no time in getting down to business, grilling the Health Secretary on a number of issues including staff shortages in the NHS.

However some viewers at home were not impressed with Naga’s rigorous interviewing style, with one writing on Twitter: “Unwatchable interview with constant interruption. It’s not all about you @TVNaga01.”

Another added: “@TVNaga01 so chippy, so rude, so dismissive. She’s just awful!! Please let ministers talk and answer!!! #bbcbreakfast.”

A third tweeted: “@TVNaga01 here we go again! You can’t bear allowing someone you don’t like to finish their answer to a question! It’s always obvious when you dislike someone – can’t wait to butt in! @BBCBreakfast.”

Meanwhile a fourth shared: “I see the obnoxious @TVNaga01 is back on @BBCBreakfast …. Nowhere to be seen during the #queensfuneral.”

But others disagreed entirely and felt like Naga held the Health Secretary to account.

One wrote: “@TVNaga01 excellent grilling of Therese Coffey. Thanks!”

A second tweeted: “Loving the interview on @BBCBreakfast @TVNaga01 holding @theresecoffey to account! Not letting her just try use key words without backing up! Like recruitment! The ones on benefits aren’t gps & nurses!”

A third praised: “Therese Coffey is getting annoyed “Naga there are other Media outlets wanting to talk to me this morning” Think it’s fair to say Naga wiped the floor with her.”

Meanwhile another BBC Breakfast viewer tweeted: “@TVNaga01
is on FIRE this morning.”

Naga’s return came after she missed her usual shows last Thursday and across the weekend amid coverage of The Queen lying in state and subsequent funeral.

The presenter had been working on BBC Radio 5 Live instead and paid tribute to her colleagues in a social media post on Monday evening before returning to the BBC Breakfast sofa.

BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
