BBC BREAKFAST’s Charlie Stayt found himself in hot water after a live interview with actor Ben Miller turned chaotic. The seasoned presenter, 61, co-hosted Thursday’s programme with Sarah Campbell, standing in for Naga Munchetty. During the interview, Stayt expressed his surprise at the fact that giants cannot swim, sparking a conversation that veered off-topic. Stayt's boss then scolded him live on air for straying from the intended focus of the interview.

Discussing Ben Miller's Books

Stayt and Campbell spoke with Death in Paradise actor Ben Miller about the books he has written during his career. Stayt showed interest in one of Miller's books which featured giants. This prompted the revelation that giants, although mythical, cannot swim in mythology. The interview then took a detour as Stayt questioned why giants couldn't swim, with Miller and Campbell joining the discussion.
