BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty replaced in ANOTHER host shake-up after hitting back at trolls

BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty has been replaced in ANOTHER host shake-up after hitting back at trolls.

The 47-year-old usually hosts the show Thursday to Sunday alongside Charlie Stayt, 59.

BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty was replaced by Rachel Burden on the show today

The journalist recently hit back at a nasty comment about her weight online

But today she was missing from our screens this morning.

Journalist Rachel Burden, 47, took her place on the sofa instead.

It is not known why Naga didn’t appear on the show.

It comes just days after Naga blasted a cruel troll who claimed she’s “put on a few pounds”.

Naga is known for her direct manner on the BBC morning show and doesn’t suffer fools gladly.

So her fans weren’t surprised when she hit back at a follower who made a comment about her appearance on Twitter.

Their jibe had come after Naga innocently wrote: “I always add ready salted crisps to my sandwiches (no other flavour works for me), but never go for a solo crisp sandwich. Each to their own I say x”.

The troll replied: “You look well Naga, but, you’ve gained a few pounds recently. Don’t let it progress……”

Naga hit back with her trademark sarcasm: “Thank goodness for people like Paul.”

Naga was sent plenty of support from her nice followers, with one writing: “Well, I think you’re beautiful, highly intelligent, hilarious and brighten my day (especially when you get bored of Charlie’s news articles!)…”

“I think if people have got nothing nice to say, say nothing at all… better still, go and find something constructive to do.”

Another added: “Nice bit of body shaming there Paul, would you say that to someone’s face, or do you only feel brave enough on Twitter?”

It isn’t the first time Naga has hit back at a troll, as last month she took on one who targeted her when she wasn’t even on the show.

Meanwhile Naga’s co-star Dan Walker has also been involved in another huge shake-up.

The Strictly star usually presents the show Monday to Wednesday alongside Sally Nugent.

But earlier this week it was revealed he has quit the programme for a new job at Channel 5.
