Keeping Fans Updated on Festive Celebrations
BBC Breakfast's Nina Warhurst, 43, has been giving her fans a glimpse into her festive celebrations over the past week. From stripping off for a freezing cold swim on Boxing Day to throwing a house party for her friends and family, Nina has been making the most of the holiday season.
Ringing in the New Year
For New Year's Eve, Nina decided to stay indoors and celebrate with her loved ones. She hosted a house party to welcome in the year 2024. On her Instagram Stories, she shared a video of her and a friend dancing to The Birdie Song, complete with classic moves and lots of laughter.
A Fun-Filled Night
Nina's kitchen counter was covered in empty bottles and glasses as the clock struck 4:49am. She captioned the photo with "Happy New Year." Four hours later, she shared an adorable picture of her daughter Nancy sitting in her high chair surrounded by the aftermath of the night before. Nina playfully captioned it, "Esp to the OGs getting up 3 hours after they went to bed."
A Message Before the Party
Before the festivities began, Nina posted a photo of herself holding a glass of champagne. In the caption, she wrote, "Happy New Year's Eve. Enjoy it. It's better than Christmas, better than your wedding, better than your birthday.... It's where we all get to reflect on what we've learned & carry the good stuff forward and forgive the bad stuff."
She continued, "It's where we get to do a silly dance at midnight. It's where we let a tall man in the house carrying coal* (*First Foot for the southerners out there). It's where we take a quick selfie in the bathroom before the baby wakes and the pals arrive. There may be arguments, queues, and expensive taxis, but if you're starting this evening safe, fed, and warm you are off to an excellent start. All the best for 2024."
Back to Mummy Duties
After a few hours of sleep, Nina was back on mummy duties, taking care of her daughter Nancy.
